Transgender Trend letter to Amnesty

Amnesty

Last week Amnesty International published a report entitled A growing threat: the anti-rights movement in the UK. This defamatory and entirely baseless report frames so-called ‘gender critical’ groups in the UK as part of a network of ‘anti-rights’ groups. Transgender Trend is listed as one of these groups on page 20.

We strongly refute the damaging and unsubstantiated accusation that we are an ‘anti-rights’ group.

This is our letter to Amnesty.

Thank you for everything you do, including this letter. I would have been much more incandescently outraged at this baseless calumny had I been the recipient, but recognise that legal language is probably more appropriate than old-fashioned Anglo-Saxon at this juncture. I’m glad you’ve got the lawyers on staff; I’m just thoroughly gobsmacked that Amnesty seem to have completely ignored theirs. Thanks again for the decade and more of wonderful work you’ve done in child safeguarding.

Great letter, I hope they listen and not just hide from the truth as all the trans activist groups do.

Some years ago I was a member of Amnesty because I felt for individuals trapped helplessly in foriiegn prisons without proper trial.. BUT Amnesty got involved in gender politics which I felt was outside their brief and after some argument, I left..

Now, here they go again and in an area that they neither understand nor are qualified to judge.

It’s not an easy subject and fools step in where angels fear to tread!.

These folk do not need blind indoctrination!

    Excellent and clear letter

Amnesty International have lost the trust of many

I will continue to support those like Transgendertrend who work hard to safeguard children and thank you for all you do
Serious questions remain around those who try to defame you

I lost faith in Amnesty International as a human rights organization about 20 years ago. They are such a disappointment.

I can’t remember the last time I logged into WP, even just to leave a like.
    Well done!

I am old and remember recording the Amnesty Caravan of Hope from the radio on C90 in ’86.

Doubt if any of those original artists would show up again.

Thank you for the work you do to hold onto safeguarding for children despite all the obstacles placed in your way. Amnesty has sadly lost it’s reputation as a trustworthy org. it follows along with latest trends in place of facts. Your letter was excellent.
